*my* parents - the *wrong* parents.
*my* parents - the *wrong* parents.
if only just ONCE they would've mentioned that gazpacho soup was served
cold—I would've been an admiral by now!…instead of a nothing, which
is what I am, let's face it… I never got off the bottom rung, and do
you know why? It's because I didn't have the right nobby parents!
I was unnerved.
you're not wrong, Felix, you're just an asshole.
.. was hoping Part 18 was an 18-hour finale ..
see: Nicolas Cage in Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans for perhaps the best example of that kind of vacuum black humour.
Its a 'device', and its a pretty fraught device to be dabbling with in this day and age.
But the theme of violence against women have never been more relevant.
I'm hoping Lynch and Frost can make a strong statement with this material; Lynch has dabbled in this kind of thing for a long time and I think perhaps now he has…
exactly - I think Lynch has often waded into these 'women in trouble' waters; I have a feeling S3 may be his most mature statement on the issue and also think we should reserve judgement until the end.
Yes, there were some ugly scenes in E10.
The main thrust of your first post 'its intentional, but to what end' I think is actually fair enough - but the show isn't over yet. I think Lynch (and Frost) understand the ground they're walking, but we'll have to wait and see.
before Amanda Seyfried's literally snotty boyfriend wiped it away .. not the snot, the smile ..
me too; surprised that the two performances I've seen from her have affected me so much as I'm not particularly into that big-ballady diva thing at all - but wow, the sheer emotion that lady can conjure is amazing - I would seek out more but it would probably break my heart.
yes I absolutely got a Clockwork Orange vibe from that scene too.
The genius of the writing has it so that fans can legitimately read Chuck's behaviour either way; a symptom of his guilt and denial, or the cause - I thought the S3 finale pushed a strong case that Chuck was a very very sick man who just could not help a lot of his behaviour when in the midst of an episode.
Like…
I didn't even need to read this to know that Craig Robinson is a helluva likable chap; always a welcome presence.
I will now read the interview.
I thought the same thing.
echo chamber - look back on previous roundtables; all are in agreement, then O'Neal throws in a curveball and the next person will be all 'actually, guys, I agree with O'Neal' - it's been like that every week.
you won't be saying that once the plane window 'code' is broken …..
also; the two lil' electrical sockets looked like two faces: Cooper//Cooper
I loved Cooper 26 years ago, great character.
yes I absolutely loved that scene too - I found it powerful and funny at the same time.
