I'm maybe 6 episodes into a S1&2 re-watch; been watching between episodes of S3 - I haven't seen these episodes for the full 25 years.
And *so far* S2 has been great, and in no way has the quality dipped from S1 - I'm in for a tough two weeks while I wait for episode 9, aren't I?
Absolutely Emily deserves huge kudos for all of her reviews thus far and tonights was some of her best work yet, perfect balance of analysis and re-cap.
I couldn't really see any Kafkaesque elements to this particular episode, this was pure unleashed visual language.
I hear ya; I too was frozen on the spot, not sure if I blinked nor breathed throughout - I *did* however let out the tiniest of chuckles when Laura's golden orb was deposited into our world, that visual was just so charmingly funny.

props to Gwen, she wins this round - My Sharona came on the radio the other day, I hadn't heard it in quite a while, but goddamn if it isn't just powerpopperfection. The guitar solo is wonderful too.
Murderer.
I've slung a fair bit of praise around here recently for quality reviews that I've read etc. - but you're right, that was shithouse.
haha; naaah - the 1-1-9 chick is terrifying!
I tried; he wasn't taking calls ..
the Head.
I can relate to that; I hate work!
stick it to da man Ontkean!
that kinda calls Mark Frost's integrity as a son into question, which is a big call indeed.
also she may have wanted to confront the person who abused her in an effort to gain some closure from a horrifying experience.
Sonny Jim is adorable!
