agree - I don't think I've seen the actor previously but I thought he was good - Amanda Seyfried on the other hand I just can't abide, which is a shame

fuck S2 of Stranger Things, I have no interest in watching those kids becoming less and less endearing - I'll just watch TP again ..

it's the over-reacting to ensure that you rate 'em highly for their capacity to react in an entertaining way that just renders the whole thing pointless - best reaction videos are goddamn Candid Camera style, where the subject is unaware that they are being filmed.

it's exactly the same, only Lynch doesn't hide behind a surrogate in TP3

I found it really disappointing and happily abandoned it; life's too short.

I really need to get on to all of this

despite Lynch's reservations I still would've loved to have seen the version of Return of the Jedi where Jabba the Hutt leaves slobbery lipstick stains all over Luke's face while asking him if he 'knows what a Love Letter is' ..

..two things?

"I’m struggling to recall a character from the original Twin Peaks

Count me as another big fan of the singing scene - I actually just love the reverb on James' voice and the guitar tone - even the brief aaaahs and echoing of the Maddy and Donna is done well; Badalamenti knows when to keep something super simple, no doubt as per Lynch's instructions on this occasion.

me too, although I did enjoy the first ep quite a bit … begrudgingly got a start on Better Call Saul last night in this seemingly endless wait for TP S3E05 ..

I'm also really surprised that this revival has somehow managed to spark a pretty close approximation of the kind of excitement-bordering-on-obsession I had for the show during it's original run, when I was young and vital.
Unlike you, I am almost ashamed to say that I did not have high expectations coming in to S3 -

who can forget Robert Loggia's hilarious impromptu sermon on the perils of tailgating in Lost Highway?

"that would be in the erotic drama section"

To be fair, Lynch is an artist, and that ass is a work of art.
I was just fine with being 'forced' to take a look; didn't bother me, and considering Lynch and Chrysta Bell go way back I'm sure they would have discussed the entire thing at length.
She enjoyed wigglin' it, he enjoyed watchin' it, win-win.
If you don't

Nice analogy.

please let's not make it into this year's fucking Barb event; personally I enjoyed Cera's scene, but there is so much to unpack in those first 4 episodes alone that it seems a bit absurd to be focusing on that alone ..

Good point; both scenes served this new Truman very well in establishing his connections and reactions to the TP folk.

as long as you did not look at her bum as she walked down the corridor (I think it was exposed, not sure myself as I did not look) then your opinion is valid.

I feel like Chrysta Bell wouldn't do anything she didn't want to do.
