Yeah, Season 2 was an odd duck. I remember dreading Season 4 because sooo much changes (as is the nature of a show about kids who are in school for only four years) but I ended up liking the back half of FNL even more than the first. This episode's a big part, but Vince was also such a rich character and Michael B.

Ha. I saw them a few weeks ago at an overcrowded festival in a pretentious Detroit suburb. Pretty much spot-on. A passing train interrupted the set (I think during Found Out About You?) so they stopped the song, cut straight back into the chorus because that's all everyone cared about anyway, then stuck the landing

Correction: "Eight years ago my offensive language ran wild during a conversation, jack. I think Springsteen absolutely belongs on this list. Aside from Blinded By the Light, he wrote Because the Night (Patti Smith), Fire (The Pointer Sisters), This Little Girl (Gary U.S. Bonds), and Hungry Heart was originally written for The Ramones.
