I was one of those rare diehards who clocked in over a hundred hours in the game in its worst, weakest state.

At launch this game was nearly perfect for me - a dicking-around-in-space simulator with gorgeous aesthetics and music. I spent 60ish hours on it before moving on to other games.

You’re missing out.  If you would have appreciated it for what it was rather than what you expected, you’d probably like it, especially now with how much they’ve delivered on those promises (better late than never).  

I really hope that at some point (official or a mod) that they recreate the color palette from the launch game. The updates, while awesome, don’t have that Syd Mead sci-fi dreaminess that it it had at launch.  Love the game regardless
