This is a great point. A lot of comics explore racism, sexism and other social issues through satire, or irony, but a lot of the time it comes across as a thinly-disguised excuse to say offensive things without having to apologize. I don't know if you'd agree with this, but I think Stephan Colbert's satire works

Individual black people have the freedom to decide how to present themselves. When 50 Cent appears in public, he is appearing as himself. He has the freedom to present himself how he chooses, without being responsible for his whole race, just like Lindsay Lohan has the freedom to present herself as Lindsay Lohan, not

There has been a history of hilariously distributed quotes on Pinterest- things like Audrey Hepburn

I'm looking at this from the angle of "Let's troll people who reblog/share stupid high school-philosophy level quote pictures on social media". And, in that light, it's sort of funny. It just goes to show you how generic so much of that life-affirming babble I see constantly in my newsfeed is.

I'm ruining the joke by explaining it, but here goes:

Jesus used a 1up for your sins and then sang about it a cappella.

Couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Really love this dude's work. Been a big fan ever since that Guile Theme Song video hit.

You forget that it's your fault the worker's fault that he is poor, and the social safety net is turning into a hammock for many of today's working poor. The could go to college, but then there are student loans, and it's their fault for taking on debt to climb out of poverty.
