That's well put, regarding U2—though your assessment of them having interesting music left might be a bit more optimistic than mine. And yeah, NIN is still interesting, even if they aren't setting the charts on fire. Whereas I can happily consider 2000 to be the end of Smashing Pumpkins.

Jeez, this guy. Who cares if you break up the second (or more) iteration of a band? By this point, "Smashing Pumpkins" basically = Billy Corgan + whoever he's playing with. Lord knows Trent Reznor has had no issue being Nine Inch Nails with varying line-ups. Call yourself Billy Corgan, or Smashing Pumpkins, or

This album is definitely a time capsule. I can't say when the last time I listened to it was. I don't know that it was my favorite or anything, but I always dug Blackhole.
