A spokesperson for the plant said it’s too early to comment on the cause...

Oh, come on! The mouse droid comparison is there because it needs to say “Star Wars” to get clicks on Gizmodo when this is shared there this afternoon and not because it actually looks like it. There are dozens of Battlebots and at least one Nazi weapon that are nearly identical.

A plane relying purely on AGM’s and guided bombs will never be as good or better than the A10 in a CAS role, a plane not designed to operate at low speeds will never be as good or better in a CAS role, a plane where the pilot can’t turn his head because of the bulky helmet will never be as good or better than the A10

This, everyone, is the *real* “right way to play the game”.

In the US both of the damn hospitals would have had the proper equipment in the first place. You can say a lot about how expensive the US healthcare system is but sometimes there’s a reason for it.

That's a long description of how they got their asses kicked.

Nah, not trying to troll you, I just have plenty of US military experience including watching those cheese eating surrender monkeys at work.

I don’t think it’s fair to say other aircraft replaced the A-10, nor is it fair to say the A-10 replaced anything itself. The mission of the A-10 overlaps somewhat with an F-16's precision bomber role, but is far more than that. The A-10 is optimized for low level, low speed, intensive ground support where it will

Epiphany: the A-10 is Pam from Archer.

Edgy.

Looks like a powered decent... A close look at the picture at the top of the article shows the leading edges of the rotor pointing down at full tilt... My guess would be a failure of rotor head at the swash plate causing a quick loss of altitude... From there it’s decending into its own rotor wash and accelerates

Cyber weapons are the future of first strike attacks. Why bother using heavy weaponry when you can cripple a countries power grid and communications network with a few lines of code. There’s also the fact that cyber attacks have the ability to cause physical damage. It’s also terrifying how insecure how most of the
