so, now it’s got a better battery than the 3DS. I bet there will still be fanboys insisting that 3DS is getting a successor that’s not Switch!

unless it’s a limited edition- not Pokemon, they make literally millions of Pokemon edition systems.

that’s the crowd this is aimed at, it’s why its MSRP is exactly that of a New 3DS XL.

So much for this “this will dominate Japan” theory. I wondered this myself, because Nintendo has been selling the Switch already as a handheld (no dock), this is going to start overlapping that same crowd. I think they should have launched both at the same time, because that’d probably sell more Lite’s in Japan, but

It’s funny how in denial many people are about the Switch Lite being the 3DS’s successor. It’s 1,000% true just like 3DS was the DS successor, and DS was the GBA successor, despite Nintendo literally saying the 3DS wasn’t replacing DS and the DS wasn’t replacing GBA. Now they say the Switch Lite isn’t replacing 3DS

It’s officially dead when 1st party support ends- that’s how it was with Wii U who still has support, and Nintendo said after E3 they were done making 3DS games, thus it’s officially dead.

If you consider Indies to be alive, then the Wii U never died, as Indies are still showing up on its eshop, so BOOM! Take that about the case then, the Switch did NOT replace Wii U, because its eshop still gets new games!

or the 10 million 3DS owners who bought like 6 of them! Don’t fool yourself with all the variants and special editions of this thing, the install base isn’t even close to 70 million, it’s easily 15 million with as many people bought the thing 4, 5, 6, or more times!

Just for reference, the 2DS lifetime sales are 10.2 million, still 3.35 million short of the Wii U- think about that, Wii U outsold the “huge hit” 2DS!

how would it save them $100 if they already paid $300 to play the system currently?

Pokemon moves over, and there’s a dedicated handheld console- come on, it’s not “kinda” it IS the 3DS’s successor! Good god!

More like 2 years ago, the Switch was revealed in January, 2017, before that it was the NX.

And remember folks, this dedicated handheld with multiple color variants is NOT replacing the 3DS, because Nintendo said it’s not- that means it’s true! :)

or, they could make them in JAPAN AGAIN. Look at the bottom of your Playstation or NES, see that “Made in Japan”? BOOM!

or, you could, you know NOT BUY GAMES! Who says that video games are a life necessity? All you Westerners are not only greedy, you think you’re entitled to everything!

you’re full of it, that does exist on Google, but good job trying to convince people otherwise! ;)

Free market enterprise, the consumer ultimately should make the decision, but when I can only find a handful of items NOT made in China, it says that China has FAAAAR too much control on the world goods market!

“Each video game console comprises dozens of complex components sourced from multiple countries. A change in even a single supplier must be vetted carefully to mitigate risks of product quality, unreliability and consumer safety issues. Tariffs would significantly disrupt our companies’ businesses and add significant

I’m just amazed this was that Wii U game moved over back in 2014, which people said in 2015 after Amiibo Festival released- 6 years for THAT??

but it started out as a Wii U game- that’s what I heard, so why is it taking soooooo long??
