OH MAN, there is a LOT to unpack here. First off she admitted that she wore her uniform in some pics/videos and did a couple in the work bathroom. Sorry that’s a termination offense given the content. If she kept it at home on her time fine, terminating people for non illegal activity on their own time is ALWAYS bad

Yeah, we should all be allowed to do whatever the fuck we want while our employer pays us by the hour for doing it, right?

It seems pretty clear even from her own Twitter she was making videos at work on company time. It’s how everyone syndicating the story chooses to portray it that’s the issue here, including Jason. It’s a fact conveniently ignored throughout the article and most other articles.

Homophobia? Good job refuting the perception of you as damaged. T&Ps bro

By accounts the dealership was actually more than fair. They suspended her for a week and allowed her either choose working at the dealership and deleting the account or to leave. She chose to leave and be an e-girl.

You left out the important bit about how she was also making porn while at work, in uniform, on company time.

Name checks out. Sorry you got diddled as a kid and can't handle it now. Check my username out and let me know what you've got. Moron

This, and buzzfeeds, story are full of manipulative lies. She played with herself in uniform, at work, on the job and then posted it on the internet for pay. Learn to read between the lines and be aware where and whom you’re consuming information from.

“Mechanic fired for posting amateur porn from her shop’s bathroom” doesn’t quite incite the pitchforks, does it?

This just in.... your at-will employer can fire you based on actions you take outside of the workplace.

I take more stock in 3rd party than affected parties. Dude seemed pretty genuine through the whole interview.

To save everyone 25 minutes: She wore her uniform in some pictures and took some pictures from the dealership bathroom. The employee in the interview alleges she did so on the clock, sometimes for as long as 30 minutes. She could have also informed her coworkers about the existence of the page.

Yeah, I remember seeing that in the Buzzfeed article earlier this week.  It doesn’t justify the dealership’s clearly disparate treatment of employees, but they most likely could have gotten off free had they not FUBAR’d this.  I mean, I’m glad they did, as it exposed what dirt bags they are, but how dumb can you be...?

Among other things, this dealership has a terrible communications/public relations team. They had grounds to reprimand her for this:

Do I think this is fair? No.
Do I think this is right? No.

While we’re there, teach kids about how American cops are a bunch of fat white nazis and also basic stuff, like doing your taxes, day-to-day functions etc.

Do you know why? It’s because these people, the people who are actually committing these violations against others, were probably bullied in high school for having nerdy or uncool interests. They didn’t have friends because who wants to be friends with the nerd? They never had the chance to develop healthy friendships
