I can confirm that he was a very decent guy. He did some good work in the Syracuse community, I had a couple interactions with him and he was super cool even to a slightly intoxicated fan. I did think he’d be a little more of a rotation guy in the league, but I guess that’s just nature of the skill level. Hopefully he

That West Virginia team was made up entirely of guys. Mike Gansey, JD Collins, Patrick Beilein, Jo Herbert

He played 8 years in the league. That would normally be described as “making it”.

Hakim Warrick had an 8 year NBA career and was the 2nd best player on a national championship team. Safe to say he made a comfortable living through basketball.

Went with Post Ride Snack instead of the more mainstream Lunch or Peeper Ale. Impressive, Petey. Could have thrown in a Bissell Bros or Mast Landing selection instead of the widely available Allagash White though.

Jerruh Jones also traded a 2nd and a 4th to North Carolina Corrections to spring Rae Carruth

Upstate New York sports radio was en fuego with broadcasters and callers alike banging their fists, ready to anoint Peterman the savior of the franchise

Snowflakes with citronella candles.

Serious question...Is there anyone that actually thought the fight buildup wasn’t going to devolve into a cesspool of some type?

Zaza, you dirty, dirty bastard

But Duke shoulda been a 1 seed!!!!!!!!

Yes, we all understand that Syracuse basketball was in existence before Boeheim became head coach. However, Boeheim was at Syracuse long before that final four appearance. First as a player, then as lead assistant and primary recruiter for that final four team. And as much as it pains me, despite recent years, Uconn

Boeheim was senior captain for Syracuse’s second ever NCAA tournament birth in 1966, lead assistant and primary recruiter for the 75 final four team (with a head coach about to take a job at Tulane, should tell you all you need to know about Syracuse’s place in the college basketball hierarchy). I’m pretty comfortable

So you’re telling me Jimmy Fallon is the next Syracuse coach?

He’s been the primary recruiter for Syracuse for the last 15 years. As far as coaching style, tough to say. My guess is he goes away from the traditional Syracuse 2-3. He went to high school at Mater Dei and has been linked with pac-12 jobs in the past (most notably USC).

Can’t blame Hopkins, he coulda been a head coach over a decade ago. Boeheim will never go quietly. He built Syracuse basketball from nothing and he’s going to force the university pry the program from his cold dead hands.

His parents must be delightful people

Oh sure, Hopkins was great in his time as head coach last year. I’m sorry to say, but we’re headed for some down years once James Arthur calls it quits. Also, anyone who thinks Boeheim is going quietly into the night after next year is either lying to themselves or hasn’t been paying attention for the last 40 years.

“Men lie. Women lie. Buckets don’t.”

Weird. I also attended high school in CNY and my gym teacher (also our baseball coach) would make the same offer, sometimes taking on multiple kids at once. No one ever came close.
