My TV used to locked on the Sci-Fi channel on Friday nights with line ups like “Stargate SG-1", “Farscape,” “SG-1, Stargate” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Eureka” and such.

The heyday of SciFi was, hands down, Battlestar Galactica.

Anyone remember about 20 years ago when they aired Star Trek TOS with an extra 30 minutes of commentary hosted by William Shatner? Good stuff.

If this is going to be the go-to channel for sc-fi, bring back sci-fi re-runs.

No, it needs to be something entirely new. In the style of SG-1 over Universe perhaps, but it doesn’t need to be branded as such.

Killjoys and Dark Matter aren’t presitge shows like BSG, but they are solidly enjoyable and reminiscent of the day of Farscape and Stargate being staples of the channel. Along with The Expanse and The Magicians they’ve really helped the channel get back on track.

Killjoys and Dark Matter are both Canadian shows made for Space, the north of the border equivalent. So I think you’re in the clear.

I liked Killjoys more than Dark Matter at first but by the end of both show’s first seasons Dark Matter became a better show in my estimation and continued to be better into Season 2.

Seriously bring back stargate.

New Stargate shows keeping shot down. And Wright is off doing Travelers now. I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high.

I hope they don’t kill Killjoys I loved that show, good pulpy fun. (Never really clicked with Dark Matter but I’ve heard it’s good, I need to push through as my cousin is in an episode.)
