You’re right that Soil health is a problem for conventional cropping systems. There are some fairly easy things that can be done to improve soil and assist with building better topsoil. Things like cover crops, crop rotations, mulching, and no till/reduced tillage (all things that have been researched and taught at

Natural doesn’t necessarily mean safe. I’ll take my chances with the synthetic stuff that has a two week half-life and no effect on humans.

It’s not really a new way of approaching things. It’s just abandoning the technology that we’ve been reliant on for the past few generations. It’s avoiding the things that allowed us to have cheap abundant produce. There’s a big difference in being a gardener and a farmer. Sure, it’s possible to grow plenty of things

This usually has more to do with the types of apples and other crops grown and sold in the US than any chemicals added. Varieties that don’t bruise and last longer on the shelves tend to be a little more bland and less aromatic. We have perfect looking (not what I’d call perfect, but round, uniformly sized, symmetric)

We did the same in the 1980s in parts of the US. I don’t ever remember hearing about Zika, Dengue, or West Nile in the US back then.

It depends on the crop, but generally the larger the field the more likely pests will find it. Sure you can grow some great produce in your garden with no pesticides, but once you’re looking at the scale needed to feed a city it just doesn’t work.

Kamel was likeable but really bad at radio. Just kind of bland. The most popular eson guys are pretty polarizing. Rusillo is unlikeable and still has a job.

or something similar to the annoying sensors that set off the annoying sounds when someone doesn’t have the seat belt buckled (or if you set a bag of groceries in the passenger seat). If the kid is strapped in, it beeps when the car is turned off. Of course after the third time it wakes up the baby, everyone would

That’s nobody’s business but the Turks

The fact that all these fake trades keep getting so hyped means that people are not acknowledging it. Ainge and co are selling hope, and it’s working. All their fans believe that they’re this close and “if we can get one guy then this year is our year.” Somewhere, Sam Hinke is watching all this, and he’s pissed.

It’s basically a better version of “the process”, but without full on tanking. They’re collecting assets and selling hope to the fans because they know they can’t beat LeBron or Golden State.

What the fuck:

I love shopping for pants. So many stores seem to only carry waist sizes greater than 30 in a 30in inseam, while longer inseams only come in children’s waist sizes.

Stoops cleaned up their image in that most people don’t think they a blatantly doing roids and paying recruits these days. Not sure how Switzer’s 80's cheating is worse than being seen as a safe harbor for men who beat women in 2016 though.

Good points on Hawaiian. They usually have exceptional service on the west coast and international flights (inter-island not so much). The extra legroom you mentioned is an extra $65-$125 per flight leg though. I’ve gone for those seats on a couple flights and they were worth it. If you book when Hawaiian posts their

Thurman was great. I don’t know if you can say a Hall of Famer is underrated, but maybe not mentioned enough in these kind of articles.

I’ve been flying on Alaska for a couple years now. Their service and planes have been exceptional in my experience.

For a couple years now, Alaska has consistently been the best and cheapest option to fly from Hawaii to the west coast. Just hoping this doesn’t change that. I hear good things about Virgin as well, but they always seem to be a little higher priced.

No local butcher shop here. The options are Costco, Whole Foods, some crappy chain grocery stores with prepackaged stuff and one that probably gets meat from Costco and cuts it to smaller portions. Costco wins this battle every time for price and quality. Every time. Maybe it’s not the best of the best of the best,

In my observations, the people who are most adamant about reclining their seats are generally 5'8" or shorter.
