What the fuck:
What the fuck:
I love shopping for pants. So many stores seem to only carry waist sizes greater than 30 in a 30in inseam, while longer inseams only come in children’s waist sizes.
Stoops cleaned up their image in that most people don’t think they a blatantly doing roids and paying recruits these days. Not sure how Switzer’s 80's cheating is worse than being seen as a safe harbor for men who beat women in 2016 though.
Good points on Hawaiian. They usually have exceptional service on the west coast and international flights (inter-island not so much). The extra legroom you mentioned is an extra $65-$125 per flight leg though. I’ve gone for those seats on a couple flights and they were worth it. If you book when Hawaiian posts their…
Thurman was great. I don’t know if you can say a Hall of Famer is underrated, but maybe not mentioned enough in these kind of articles.
I’ve been flying on Alaska for a couple years now. Their service and planes have been exceptional in my experience.
For a couple years now, Alaska has consistently been the best and cheapest option to fly from Hawaii to the west coast. Just hoping this doesn’t change that. I hear good things about Virgin as well, but they always seem to be a little higher priced.
No local butcher shop here. The options are Costco, Whole Foods, some crappy chain grocery stores with prepackaged stuff and one that probably gets meat from Costco and cuts it to smaller portions. Costco wins this battle every time for price and quality. Every time. Maybe it’s not the best of the best of the best,…
In my observations, the people who are most adamant about reclining their seats are generally 5'8" or shorter.
Unless it’s a shitty old plane with plenty broken seats that don’t recline. Thanks American and United!
When is the last time you flew? Those seats you described are definitely in the extra legroom price category. It was an extra $250 per person for those round trip on the last vacation we took, and it was money well spent.
If it was $30 I’d do it every time. It’s been years since I’ve seen a flight with extra legroom for less than $75, and it’s usually closer to $100-$150 on the 3 major airlines that service my airport.
If you’re going to do it, do it early and gently. Please don’t be the asshole who forcefully slams their seat back and cracks someone’s knee cap 3 hours into an eight hour redeye. I finally got to sleep, then WHAM, searing pain in my patella, and I’m fully awake
What the actual fuck? He shot someone, three times, in broad daylight, with witnesses. Lock him up.
Translation: We’re totally willing to sell our souls for moderately decent athletics programs with lots of national publicity.
Every time I hear about one of these Baylor asshats getting a job somewhere, I envision the interview being the scene from Blazing Saddles:
Do you have any other options? Maternal vs Paternal side of the family? In-laws? When I was 8, the food was so bad at Thanksgiving that my siblings and I sat my parents down and told them we would be going to the other grandma’s for Thanksgiving from then on. I still have no idea what excuse/reason my parent gave, but…
Best coffee with least effort -> Bonavita automatic pour over. Easy as a cheap Mr Coffee, but with much more consistent temperature.
Meh, Starbucks coffee isn’t really any better than folgers. It’s only popular because it’s a socially acceptable way for adults to drink milkshakes for breakfast.
Bell curve is a good description. Try to stick to one standard deviation above the mean. I live in a coffee producing region. There’s not enough difference in the good local stuff and the best of the best imported stuff to justify the price. A nice coffee maker with more precise temp controls will give you better…
