The 6.9 was an amazing car and it would have won the 79 Cannonball if the drivers didn't wait for gas receipts at every stop. In comparison to my 57 Chevy it's from a different planet.

Finally someone older than me on this site. My limit is 55. 55 and still alive.

Without trying to sound snarky, I've always ask the question. Are you buying a car to drive? Or a car to crash? That said I always give an older car plenty of respect because they turn and stop like shit. And I won't drive a car older than I am.
