President Clooney? I think I like the sound of that.

Thank you for sharing. I was devastated when the original S&E archive got trashed by Buena Vista. Cheers.

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy is gold standard stoner television, but Julian Barratt (the other half of the Boosh) has nothing to do with it.

I'd love to see Se7en for the first time again. What a gigantic surprise. "Another serial killer movie? With that vacant pretty boy from Legends of the Fall? Directed by the shmuck who made Alien 3? Wake me if there's a fire…"

It's about logistics though isn't it? Spending on spectacle (spectacle that will be used in mainstream advertising for years to come) is a far easier choice than paying a crew of people to work on a cult show for several months at a time. What's more, if they're talented, they're not cheap. And even if they're not

Season 4 was fine but there simply weren't enough jokes in it, because (I suspect) Netflix can't afford to sustain a network-style writer's room.

Nice to see Ep 2 of Clerks get a shout out. That show was seriously flawed, but the second episode was near-genius.

Why do you think I took you to see all those Cop Out movies? For fun?

I realise that the combination of Call of Duty and Hans Zimmer is enough to make half of the planet turn their noses up, but the Zimmer / Lorne Balfe suite that plays over the end credits of Modern Warfare 2 is utterly superb.

Murphy really is a weapons-grade spunk bubble. All he's ever looking for is a juicy tabloid soundbite (or a walk-out) to front-load his 7pm news bulletin with.

I completely disagree. The Broomhilda whipping scene is nothing more than a shot of a woman's face, and it's every bit as horrifying as it needs to be. I don't have to see CGI flesh being ripped from a character's back to be moved or appalled. That scene cheapened the whole enterprise for me.

Much as I'd hoped that it would happen, Django Unchained not taking the top spot is fair enough… but not placing at all? A real surprise.
Django Unchained is a far more important (and far more daring) film than 12 Years A Slave. Django is good trash and 12 Years is great art, said the world; examine the two whipping

A little disappointed that The World's End didn't crack the top 20. The first hour of that movie is utterly perfect.

It's a complete dud of a film, but I always thought he was really good in the brain dead Goldie Hawn thriller Deceived. Should do more horror.

"Although Kiss is not, musically speaking, a very good band"

Really surprised that the season 5 finale of The Shield isn't here. Devastating.
