At some point, someone will design one of these dumb electric cars with an easily removable battery. Yes, 'easily' as in likely a forklift, but a hot swap of a dead battery to a freshly charged one would very well provide the true recharge station aspect.
Ah traction control. I'll soon be at the end of the lifespan of an AWD car with none of that traction control.. A sad day when I have to press a button to hoon.

I've spent a fair amount of time behind the wheel of a couple different R8s and I would think its got a lot to do with body shape/type/etc. I find the thing incredibly comfortable.
Right? He bought the car locally, had me install exhaust and carbon side blades (sexy as F*CK) and then he just shows up.. and I'm like, so where ya from? "West coast"... oh.. so.. you have a place around here? "Nope, driving this back to Cali today."
He said he managed no damage, but I think we'll know when he gets it home and details it. Interesting that he was supposed to leave the day before he ended up leaving, on a cross country trip... and one day late resulted in escaping a tornado. Crazy.
I had a customer leave a day late from here with his R8... and he called to say he was in Joplin when the sirens went off, and he saw the thing. He took off in his car and got out of there just in time.
