Golf R? Unreliable? Calling BS on that one. 35k on mile with substantial modifications and a lot of autoX, rallyX, and winter rallies on it. I'd go as far as saying bulletproof.

It's an action button, not a delivery system!

Limited to 135 I believe.

My Golf R does 162mph, with more on tap, but I wasn't keen on burying the redline.

My golf R right now will do 162, with more on tap, but I'm not super keen on burying the redline.

It is also important to note, that as enthusiasts here, the Golf R (mk6 only) has TREMENDOUS tuning capability. Throw some light aftermarket at it. My car puts down 340 at the wheels on 93, stock turbo. Suddenly the car is a different beast, and hanging with a lot more interesting cars.

You can only pull some basic info at the time of a crash. I believe most cars lock the dash display at the moment of airbag impact. Ignore recent events. This car has lineage, is sought after, hard to get, has all the right equipment, and no 'assists', sounds fantastic, looks timeless, and I can;t explain why I want it outside of that.

Is that compressor surge? Keep testing.

rear 3/4 view looks like a VW Beetle slammed the brakes hard.

Because the Golf R is built on a strengthened FSI motor, from the prior platform.

As an interesting point of note, AWE-Tuning made an exhaust for this car which netted a peak gain of 53hp with no software. I found that to be amazing as you'd think McLaren would be breathing pretty easily.

The Madonna clips are from the Star portion of the films.

Yo dawg, we heard you like stretched 911s, so we executive'd your Panamera so you can stretch out while we stretch out.
