Bullshit! Nagbe, Jones, Beckerman, Zusi, Bradley, and Zardes all play in the same league and Nagbe has been better than all of them. This isn’t some backup QB situation. This is about playing the better player.

Nagbe isn’t even a young guy. He’s the best midfielder on the team and can’t sniff the pitch over Beckerman!

Fair. But there is a giant problem with Klinsmann’s lineups and tactical schemes. And I’m a Klinsmann fan and think he’s a fine director, but he’s simply been lacking as a coach. You can’t preach the message he preaches then roll out retreads Beckerman, Wondo, and Zusi in the biggest game of the year. He wants the

And people are calling Copa America a disaster...

Shout out to Jostens!

Except we’ll probably be getting the fantastic Beckerman-Zusi duo in midfield instead. Kill me.

Would like to see:

Zusi and Beckerman should not see the field honestly. They simply could not handle Argentina. Also, don’t love the 4-3-3 with all the Fs playing out of position. Doesn’t make a lot of sense. I would like to see something like this:

I, like most sane sports fans, only sort of half-watched the U.S.-Ecuador match

His work rate, I guess? He tracks back fairly well. But yeah, he should be on the bench.

“(Or if they do, he’s forced to sit back in front of the defense, dozens of yards away from the positions his keen passing eye would best be able to exploit.)“

So we are just boiling down a players entire abilities/achievements into what has occurred in the last 4 games (coming off a knee injury) now? Clearly, Steph is more the player we’ve seen in this OKC series than the guy that is the 2x MVP, 73 game winner, and NBA champion.

Except for the fact that Steph is one of the best passers and ball handlers in the league. Oh and he’s a competent defender as well. But yeah, what Cowherd said.

Except for the fact that Steph’s career FT% is better than Bird’s. Also, Steph’s career TS% is .615, while Larry Bird’s is .564.
