I doubt Oberyn would even be allowed to be a champion for Tyrion. He is one of the judges after all.

This was probably my favorite episode this season. I didn't want it to end.
Those are actual real life poisons (I learned while doing research for a short story I wrote recently). I was surprised about that too. So is Monkshood.
The funny thing is I barely noticed at all this week. It just no longer registers with me. It's more background than titillation, but that doesn't bother me. I like the idea that it's just part of the show's world rather than an attempt to arouse me. But it does sometimes unnecessarily waste time.
That scene was mesmerizing. I never wanted the episode to end. Goosebumps man.
Oh, believe me I know. Doesn't make it any less sad.
This is why I still relish the scene in which Cersei wipes the smug off his face when she has her guards threaten to kill him and she says simply "Power is power." For just a second he wasn't so cocky. Wasn't pulling the strings. He looked genuinely scared. I like that for all the plotting and scheming we are all at…
Oh shit! I bet that's totally gonna happen at some point! :O
I always wondered if Syrio would show up again some episode not dead. Why, on a show that relishes graphic violence and explicit evidence of deaths, would that be shot so ambiguously off screen? I suppose book readers will probably laugh at me, but I still believe he lived.
Yeah I caught that too. Very nice callback. Shows Sansa is finally learning to play the game. Poor girl; it's sad that she has to.
Agreed.
Yeah I agree. Well put.
Not that I necessarily disagree with you, but… in this case, explain.
I find it funny that in TVW's experts review he devotes 3 long paragraphs to describing how beautifully shot this episode was, while Erik begins his review by saying it is one of the shoddiest looking episodes of the series. (I'm gonna go with Todd on this one)
Right. So I totally agree. And that makes sense for the show. No one wants to see it become the mom show. That said, I'm sure the kids will occasionally play into the plot which is good to shake things up a bit. Also I could see Ben becoming a hapless stay at home dad especially with his Cones of Dunshire royalty…
While I completely get what you're saying and I agree with the sentiment that women shouldn't be defined by motherhood, I have to say if you DO end up having kids and you put your job ahead of your kids, man or woman that makes you an asshole. I don't mean you should quit your job to be a stay at home parent by any…
I don't think it's nice to pigeonhole other people's gimmiccckks…
I think it's more like fifty-fifty. Justin Roiland does the majority of voicework and it is based on his original concept. But I think they mostly share writing duties. Also I can recognize Harmon's influence anywhere and he definitely has a strong creative presence on Rick and Morty.
Agreed.
I feel like they only did shipping moments well in season 1. Debate 109 was the only episode I liked Jeff/Annie (and was just a fantastic episode in its own right) and a couple later season 1 episodes made me a Jeff/Britta shipper for life. But after s1 I just feel like they haven't done a good job of it at all.
