That… That is just grotesque…
17 may or may not be the right age for a determination, but according to some studies, so might 21 or 23.
The filthy rich and their spawn are not “able to learn and be a better person.” They have been taught their entire lifetime that us poors are nothing of import. We are disposable. We are trash. They think in terms like “I can kill as many people as I like by poisoning their environment and only pay a small fine,” or,…
GM product names are dumb AF. “Denali Ultimate?”
Oh, it’s ugly alright.

Until it kicks up a Mothra
Most of the “garage” shows these days are garbage. Hey we “f0und” a 68 chevelle in a barn just cruising around town — how did nobody see this before! We have 2 weeks to get it done before auction XYZ! (cue SBC, generic paint work, 20 inch chrome rims, maybe some subs in the back).
It actually kinda sucked in front of the screen too. There are better car shows available.
There is so much Pro-Jeep hyperbole in the language of both the Jeep rep and the author you would think they are one and the same person. “Head of the class, Legendary capability, capability that’s bred in(WTF?)“. Has anyone seen Lawrence Hodge and Jim Morrison in the same room?
This is an excellent point. Very few people will pick a $50K family car as their rock crawling vehicle of choice much like most people will not drive their $80K super sedans on the racetrack. A slightly more rugged version of an SUV is more than enough for those who want to do some driving on the dirt, trail, or…
Frankly, a LSD, skids plates and a bit more ground clearance is all most people need to get a bit more outdoorsy. The target market for the “overlanding look” is people who want to drive on some dirt roads and camp off the grid...... No one buying a timberline is taking it to MOAB and running rock crawling trails.
If they find slugs in the engine, there are WAY bigger issues.
Hyundai? Proven reliability.
No, the point of the test is to get around the moose in the safest manner possible.
Sure, those extra 4 mph of passing grade will surely save you from the dreaded mooses.
People have been driving sports cars on the street since before there were race tracks to drive them on. Sports car =/= track car.
The big difference is that Jeep owners bolt random crap to their car and just make it worse or look like a poser with the body matching color trim, lifted to the sky Jeep with 40s and enough lights to keep a city going at night.
I could see this as a teaching tool where an instructor takes three students, comfortably seated, and talks them through the track and gives them the basics. Like a classroom on wheels. Easy enough to stop and change drivers, and play like drivers ed.
