Ford didn’t have the benefit of robots when they started, and the automobile itself, as well as the assembly line were still new inventions. They had practically no examples to follow.

Kinda funny that Ford is mocking them
Well, Ford quite literally had to invent the entire process. Then they and numerous other makers figured out over the course of a century how to do things well.
Then Tesla comes in, insists on not listening to people who know what they’re doing and insisting they can do it better, and when they fail, we’re supposed to…
Good god, will you guys shut up!
I’ve always suspected that Ford was well aware that a nuclear reactor powered car was never going to be workable, and the Nucleon was never intended to be anything more than a full-size mockup to attract attention to the Ford booth at auto shows for a season or two.
This is a good choice, I do love the S2000, I had one, I still sing the praises of it, but don’t think that it’s civic in terms of maintenance cost. Just so you know the 2 liter version (ap1) has some quirks that could cost a lot of money if your not careful.

Boulder is at the front of the bucket making it easier to tip, and since the back wheels were lifting (per the commentary) it is probably…
“the have not yet tracked down the owner of this car.”
And I’m sure the Miata is laughing at the S2000's ~23 mpg it seems to get.
At 5.8 seconds to 60 the current 155HP Miata has basically the same 0-60 as the S2000 and now they’re adding 30 HP.
Miata thinks S2K is 450 lbs. overweight.
