I live in a city of 10000 and very active in city development. Once we hit about 6000 we needed a police department. Crime, traffic etc. The county could no longer support us. Now we’re up to 5 officers and probably need another. Less officers is not an option.

You are incorrect. Its not a cash grab. They use camera footage in court cases all the time to prove guilt or innocence. The issue is when pulled over for speeding or caught on camera murdering someone, you still get your day in court. With speed cameras, you do not.
