I’m not being pedantic. You seem to lack a basic understanding of how these detectors function or are constructed. The CCD is made as a single unit, and then a filter layer is placed on top of that. They do NOT construct individual color pixels. It is entirely the arrangement of the color filter layer that determines…
Sorry, but you’re wrong on this. Read up on this:
Of course it uses filters, they’re just built into the CCD. There’s no such thing as a “true-color” image.
Actually the GOP hasn’t cut funding. They recently increased overall funding with a big increase for planetary exploration but a cut in Earth science studies.
In a city like Phoenix, where Uber and Lyft have been embraced and fully incorporated into the legal and regulatory structure, they certainly do make it easier to use public transit. I can take the light rail to work (and my of my coworkers in suburbs take express buses), so public transportation acts as a “routine”…
Shouldn’t we not care about the mode of transportation but the access and affordability of transit? If ever cheaper Uber-like services (or autonomous cars) end up outperforming mass transit on the important axes, why shouldn’t we prefer that?
(Environmental issues are also an axis, but again it needs to be argued in…
Uber’s destruction of the taxi industry is obvious—and NYC cabs are finally fighting back. But how much of a threat…
because you cannot waste money when preparing for preventing a war. FTFY.
High end open style head like the HD800’s or LCD-2’s are going to have amazing directional audio capabilities and soundstage.
You don’t even have to go that high end to get a good sound stage and directional audio. HD558’s have an awesome soundstage, I will regularly put on my 558’s and listen to orchestral music and I…
Honestly, a good pair of headphones shouldn’t need surround software. Something like a pair of Sennheiser 558’s or better will allow you to pinpoint audio direction without the fake surround software running.
With inteligent adapters (with electronics) it communicate the focal lenght to the body so you don’t have to do anything, but for manual legacy lenses you have to dial the focal lengh to turn on the IBIS just like the Oly.
I’m in the midst of reviewing the new Sony A7r II camera. One of the most pleasant surprises so far? Just how fast…
Nope, shot absolutely does not. And anyone who has been bird hunting would know so, because it is a super common occurrence to have it rain down on you after a hunter a ways away fires. Feels like sprinkles falling on your head, just without the rainbow of colors.
I see this same comment all the time. Obviously you have never been bird hunting, Especally dove. It is actually common for dove and quail hunters to be showered with falling shot. It has happened to me. Based on your suposition I should have been killed or maimed. I am still alive and unwounded. Falling bird shot is…
I know someone who was shot at medium range with birdshot. He was somewhat annoyed. (Lucky too because it was winter and he had his heavy coveralls on while hunting).
Shotgun “shot” doesn’t hurt what-so-ever when falling from a shot straight up in the air. The velocity of the shot will maim/kill somebody, sure. But the the shot coming down from the sky is not going to break your skin or even sting that much. It’s a much different story than say a 9mm bullet. That WILL break skin…
Correct. And I don’t think you can claim self defense against a drone.
Shotguns do not use bullets. Go sit in the corner and let the grownups talk.
As a Veteran, (and a SpecWar Vet) I think this is patently awesome. If they are weighed, measured and tested to the exact same standard...then good on them! (These two ladies were, and I give them a slow salute for an epic and historic accomplishment!)
