The AR-15 is essentially a ‘platform’ after which rifles are ‘patterned’ and then considered to be AR-15s. The platform can support plenty of cartridges that are effective for various types of hunting and is absolutely used for such.

The term ‘assault rifle’ is nebulous and unspecific and should be abandoned; the AR-15 is a magazine-fed semi-automatic rifle.

I just rechecked this to be sure; basically the only way I can find to stream 4k HDR from Amazon is to buy a 4k HDR TV that has an Amazon app.

But that is where Hollywood is coming from, right?

I’m not saying I like it, I’m just trying to describe it as it is. Is there an Asian actress that could compete with ScarJo for box office sales? Because that’s what matters, right?

That would challenge ScarJo for the role in an audition for a Hollywood movie?

That’s really the question, right- it’s not that Japanese actresses don’t exist, but that there aren’t any that can hold a candle to ScarJo for this role.

I got through this whole thread looking for someone who was complaining about ScarJo to actually suggest a great Japanese or Japanese-American actress.

I looked because I can’t think of any myself off the top of my head, and while I could certainly look, it’s not a subject that I’m well versed in, and figured that the

Read up on the operation that the US military performed; they basically stopped everything and diverted any applicable resources toward the disaster, from delivering much needed essentials to areas that had been hit by helicopter before they could be reached by land to ferrying Japanese electrical trucks and crews

It works well with native E-mount lenses, all of which are (as most modern lenses are) more than capable for video.

This sounds like it could be implemented using technology similar to what Sony is developing with their Back-Side Illumination sensors.

I’d charge that anyone claiming that any camera system can ‘snap’ into focus at -4ev is preaching the absurd. Especially a mirrorless camera...

The 7D II can reliably focus *quickly* at -3ev. That’s best in the business from a speed in low-light perspective.

As much as your observation is correct (and applies to most brands), the reality is that a touchscreen could simply be disabled if the functionality is not wanted/needed/would get in the way. But the functionality on mirrorless systems and DSLR systems with competent live-view focusing capabilities is sorely needed.

This thing is the same price as the 7D II is on sale (which is comparable given the difference in age). The 7D II would wipe the floor with this Panny or frankly any mirrorless camera for fast action, and has native access to the best telephoto lenses in the business.

Sony’s aversion to touchscreens has certainly been puzzling...

Nail on the head-

Yup. Joint in US military parlance literally just means ‘multi-service’. Multinational is ‘combined’.

It does; I’m speaking to how they perform when properly calibrated. If the adapter/lens/body combo is ‘off’ in some way, you may very well get results like the ones shown in the review you linked earlier. I’ve also seen results where literally every characteristic of the lens was improved, so it’s certainly a YMMV

The speedboosters *increase* sharpness and *decrease* aberrations. They’re good shit all around (aside from being adapters with the limitations that applies).

Only if you use crappy adapters...

A more advanced version of the radar used for backup and blind-spot warnings could easily fill that roll, given the slow speeds involved in traveling through whiteout-grade weather. Networked vehicles could also help with this eventually, where once an area is shown to be clear, vehicle ‘swarm’ speeds could be
