That's the problem. Too many people view war as fun. A lot of video games perpetuate that falsehood.

Thanks for the mention. I wrote what ended up being a pretty lengthy piece for 11Bit's website. It's very personal, but then again, so is the game. Hopefully people will pull more out of things like than simply, "Games are fun to play." They're powerful storytelling tools and I was honored to have contributed that.
Are you trying to ask a question or be unnecessarily snarky?
I like ridiculous stuff like this, bulk be damned. I'd hit it.
Like I said earlier, The Wire reference was awesome.
How are you getting unlimited tethering?
My they are?
I loved the Wire reference via The Hound. "A man's got to have a code."
X-2 is better than I remembered (that may because I'm playing a better version), but I don't think the job system and battle mechanics got enough universal praise. It's just a really fun game until the story and dialogue get in the way. V is still my favorite though, and you can see a lot of it in X-2.
Good point. If you've ever been over there, that's readily apparent.
Right but those are only stereotypical Americans from a very specific point of view. I think of different types of people when I think of America, and someone else might think of even more. I want to know what it is about those three specifically that appeals to Japanese gamers. So much so that they matter more than…
I'm not sure where I implied in any way that I was offended. The game operates on dozens of levels. I was asking which stereotype he thought appealed so much to Japanese gamers in particular.
Hyperbole aside, I think I know the type of person that you're talking about. What do you mean by "cry about freedom" though?
I've pretty much spent the morning collecting cornmeal and bottles and saving up for an Iron Dagger. I haven't gone anywhere near any quests yet. I'd say that feels like Elder Scrolls to me.
What American stereotype would that be?
This is one of the few games I've purchased twice. These guys know how to make a game accessible and release extra content. The odd part is that I paid for it again because they didn't charge for the Advanced Edition. The touch controls feel like the right way to play the game. It's easier to get to everything quicker…
I was going to say, I don't care what the logo is as long as they continue making quality games.
That's about as well thought out an argument as any other I suppose. Redundant and meaningless, but thought provoking all the same.
That's literally all I plan on doing today. I just can't decide which game to start first. I already beat X back in the day.
Maybe that tells you that the person he's talking shit about means something to me? Pacifism isn't broken simply by virtue of a thought. There was no action. Or did you not read the part where he started aggressively attacking my life (about which he knows nothing) with no provocation before you skimmed and did your…
