I'm forced to watch this show as part of the family. This episode was more tolerable than most. The characters didn't pause, sigh and say the same phrases over and over again (as they do in most episodes.) In fact, there were momentary gilmpses of good acting & direction. But TVs best drama? I think not. The

Wigs. Pauses. Montages. Baleful looks. I watch The Americans with my partner each week. Every episode seems the same. I know what the characters are going to do/say before they do it. I don't feel a whiff of tension. I don't understand why people love it so much.

IMHO, this was a dud. Would have better as a 2 hour movie. Why do we need to see this serialized? There was a promise of some Wire-like examination of the criminal justice system that wasn't met. Naz was opaque. He went to jail, got protection because he was threatened, smoked some drugs. There was very

My wife loves this show. I can't stand it. The characters never change. They speak the same way year after year. No surprises. Paige with her furrowed brow. Always nervous. Elizabeth with her darting eyes. stern. Phillip stammering on (probably to get the accent down), always depressed or alarmed. When

I agree. I think Chandler played "stunned" a bit too literally. It reminded me of a high school play. I'm not on the same page with this reviewer for this season. I did really like the episode, but not for that scene. I can't get past Jacinda Barrett's accent.

I have to agree with extra extra todd smells. Normally I find reviewers on AV to be a bit over-kind to shows. In this case, I feel the reviewer is looking for something that, frankly, most of us are finding in Season 2.

Does this show accurately represent the machinations and personalities in the education system? I don't have children, but I'm inclined to say that it does not. My goodness, every scene and situation involving the school administrations (both) has the feeling of the meetings between Hank Paulson and the heads of the

I believe the previous poster is referring to the theme music that gets played during very cathartic or sad moments. In this episode there was a beautiful version with different instrumentation. It's a yawning, hopeful (and sad) theme. The opening song, Let the Mystery Be, is wonderful as well. And yes, kudos to

I pushed through the hideous "optics" of the opening of Karaoke Bullies (Kroll does sketchy and slimy so well that I have the impulse to reach for a book), and was rewarded with the I think is one of the funniest episodes ever. Disclaimer…I am quite familiar with all the tropes. I grew up in Boston. Played hoops.
