Greer's basically the Charlotte market, if a bit of a drive outside the city. There's only one Alfa dealership in NC, and that's just outside of Raleigh 3+ hours away (4 at least from Greer).

A: I would escape through the service entrance and take up residence in another city under an assumed name.
I want one of these so bad...
Honestly, didn't miss it. Your articles are awesome—even more awesome when I don't have to edit when I read them aloud.
Oh, that's a lovely E-Type. I'm scared to death that E-Types are headed for the stratosphere the way the Dinos have climbed over the past couple decades. They're still marginally affordable right now, but out of my price range. I'm afraid that by the time I'm in the market they won't be available in any condition…

Rob Tittle and his daughters were family friends of ours, out in Mayflower, Arkansas. 'Rob was doing what a man does—putting his family first and trying to get two of his daughters to safety—when the twister hit.' (full story) He saw most of his family into shelter under the stairs, and turned back to find two of his…
Mount Evans, Colorado's Highway to the Stars—the highest paved road in North America. An incredible drive, even in an underpowered beigebox sedan (photos mine).
Not entirely sure if that's rust or pine needles, but there's a lovely little chrome-bumper MGB in here waiting to be saved!
I would totally already have this if my main gaming-capable rig wasn't (unfortunately for now) a MacBook Pro. We're getting a lot more good titles, but there's some notable exceptions, particularly in less-than-mainline categories like this one. At least SimCity's getting just a little bit better...now I just want a…
Didn't realize you had a Vanquish. 1st generation? IMHO, one of the absolute loveliest modern cars on the road, and probably my top dream car.
My understanding is just that, the heat is a little much for most coatings. If I remember correctly there was some discussion on one of the colored-carbon-fiber articles about how it might permit things like the Vantage's vents to be colored.
Agreed, least favorite detail of the vehicle for me. If we could get them painted/coated/cast in body colour, I wouldn't mind that much, but they're really a little much.
Mine would be in British Racing Green, with tan leather. Stunning combination on one of the most stunning new cars on the road.
Come on, Patrick! I love Jalopnik, and am more-or-less addicted to checking the front page and Oppo every couple of hours, but why do we need language like that in the headline? I know I'm a lot more reluctant to share a link to an (otherwise awesome) article if it has needless levels of profanity or obscenity. Keep…
Properly done it's apricot gelatin, cottage cheese instead of shredded cheese, and mandarin oranges instead of pineapple. And it's glorious.
I can think of only a few places I'd less like to drive a Vanquish (one of my absolute favorite dream cars, period) than NYC. Seriously. In fact, if offered the chance to drive it, on condition I had to drive it in rush-hour NYC...I might just have to turn it down. And I'm not normally afraid of traffic at all. Not in…
My guess was a Triumph before I noticed the rear fenders and doors.
Here's the two that come to mind immediately for me:
Jaguar E-Type Roadster
I live and work just outside of Raleigh, and today was a mess. And what's worse is that it really was not predictable or should/could have been expected. Forecasts were going wild over the past couple days—weather app predictions _today_ in my hometown east of Raleigh ranged from 0.8" of snow to 31 inches, I kid you…
