Only thing I was disappointed with: They promised me a Sally/Joan interaction (with Sally's "Is Joan here?") and THERE ENDED UP BEING NO SALLY/JOAN INTERACTION. Infinite frowny face.

I think it's safe to assume Laurel Canyon because the book on the Manson Murders was alluded to like three times in the episode and it's set in Laurel Canyon.

I understand feeling negatively towards Chaough and co; they were my main s6 complaint because they felt duller than they should've been.

This premiere struck me as even more ominous than last season's, which is saying something. Peggy collapsing to her knees, sobbing, and turning her face towards god. The coyote howls. The final zoom-out. LOU.

sincere question: why Lady Lazarus? I loved the Beetles montage at the end, and the Don/Peggy whipped cream screaming match was epic, but I don't remember anything outstanding about that ep.
