Another tip that will cut your annual coiling costs: When possible, install your AC (or swamp cooler) unit on the north side of you house - in the shade rather than in direct sun exposure. It will last a few years longer and save about 5-10% on your summer utility bills.

BUT - They do work GREAT in the much drier southwestern states. I live in Utah and cool my whole house very economically with a 4500 CFM Bonaire Durango window unit. Love it! For the very few summer nights when it is both hot and rainy, I have a window air conditioner in my bedroom that lets me sleep very comfy.

What percentage of the USA population is actually dumb enough to fall for most robocalls and phone scams? It seems there is a very basic educational component that is lacking here. There would be no robocall problem if there was no money to be made (other than “state sponsored/politically motivated” trash calls).
