In IL, we were pretty much taught that it was clearly over the South wanting to keep their economic system of slavery. And that “States’ Rights” was THEIR view of the war.
Yeah, their right to keep owning human beings as property. Whereas the rest of the nation, while still racist, was against the view that humans are

This is ridiculous.
Flying that flag in the 1800s was treason.
It’s still treason today IYAM.

Shark is seriously junk.
They work for a year or two, then everything breaks and gets dirty. And there’s usually no replacement parts.

If Toyota can use the same Camry platform from at least 1992, with that stupid looking droopy exhaust pipe you can see from the back, and get no shit for it......then I guess VW should be able to, as well.

I pray this is the case. Hahah.

Indirectly, yes. Congress and the Obama Admin, both elected by citizens, created the terms in order for the Auto companies to receive bailout assistance. They had to go through special bankruptcies, that basically screwed investors, but saved the companies.
Both GM and Chrysler paid back their govt. loans, with

Ya know what?
Not enough of this is going around, but KUDOS for realizing it!
That takes a big person to come around from that type of cult brainwashing.

Today’s GOP really is masterful at being the dickhead bully while all the same time, playing the victim damsel in distress.

Sadly you’re right. We no longer deserve unions.
They’ve both been decimated and hacked from within.
They might as well dissolve.
I think we need a slave-wage workforce for a generation or two to really appreciate what we all let slip between our fingers.

I guess he just hasn’t tapped into that sweet lucrative vein that Ann Coulter sucks on, yet.

Womp womp.

It really IS impossible for the rotund orange to sit like a normal human.

“Brodozer” Oh man that’s perfect for this insanity.

Did they just make a Canyonero pickup?
EEEEeeesh.

I don’t consider the people Obama leveraged to help restructure GM and Chrysler as “politicians.”
I’m talking about the people who sat across from the executives in those congressional hearings.

We learned in school for my business and project mgmt. degree that the corporation is beholden to it’s “stakeholders.”
That’s shareholders, customers AND employees alike.
As a board or CEO, you must share among those three masters. And no one of them should be adversely affected by serving the others disproportionately

Not just at GM, but every damn company out there.

Great point.
We’ve been under decades of wage stagnation.

That’s my question. If our “all knowing” politicians force GM’s hand at making terrible business decisions (they've been very successful thus far since 2010), will those same politicians bail GM out again when they come crawling back, broke?

Unions in general are a good thing for the middle class. But yeah, the UAW is so sullied with scum and corruption, it needs to dissolve, and have something new replace it.
Too much ugly baggage.
