Hah, you’re right, we are trying to judge interiors based on a pretty small photo.

WORK TRUCKS SHOULD HAVE HARD PLASTIC INTERIOR AND LITTLE SCREENS, ITS A WORK TRUCK WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE?

Imagine my surprise when I just learned that Mitsubishi sells more than one model in the US.

I’ll debate that. The low trim F*50s are spartan, but they are fairly well laid out and give you all the features you want without forcing you to dive down into a clunky interface (I’m looking at you low trim Silverados).

I had this exact interior in my 16 F150 and I didn’t mind it.  I leased the XL which is the BASE model.  It was a work truck, I didn’t need big screens or anything fancy, this is why I bought a base model  Not every car has to have the best of the best, this is why there are different levels of vehicles.  The interior

We had a 2016, probably made just before rear cameras were madatory. The layout when coupled with the rest of the car was fine. We used the number pad for radio stations. It was cheap as hell though, which is what we expected from a MSRP $17k car when we bought it.
(And yes, i considered buying used, but I drive ~20k

This interior is from the F150 XL. It is supposed to be like that because it the low end. I have at 2015 F150 Lariat with the tech and lux package and I have the large display, leather trim everywhere. It is actually a really nice interior.

Burton Buster’s blueberry on Psych always drove me a little nuts.

The S.H.E.I.L.D agents in The Avengers (in a small break from Marvel’s usual Audi-fest) drove modded Acura MDXs. Yes it was product placement and yes the looked cool, but really? A Suburban or an Explorer or something, maybe. But an MDX?

A while ago, I watched the movie Geostorm and was very disappointed to find that the main character did not drive a Geo Storm. In fact, not a single character in the movie drove a Geo of any sort. I didn’t even see any in the background. This makes me sad.

perceived durability

“And if GM was hoping to retake the second-place spot from Ram in the full-size truck segment, that’s very unlikely at this point.”

I sell these things, and it is unfortunately not surprising at all. All of our product is hopelessly outdated, the lease rates always somehow get beaten by competitors with nicer cars, and they severely fucked up the new QX50 by putting a CVT in it. The CVT highlights all the very worst aspects of the new VC-Turbo

Yup, that is correct. Full size trucks are primarily setup to tow heavy objects, this is even more so with the 2500 and 3500 class.

A less confusing naming convention might help, somewhat. Johan didn’t do Infiniti or Cadillac any favors, there!

I understand the dealer stickers, they all look tacky. Also don’t you dare drill holes in my front bumper and install a dealer plate. Keep the look the way the designer intended, no front plate.

Infinity:

You know, even as a long time fan of Infiniti I won’t feel sad in the slightest to see them go. Nissan has dropped the ball with them so much that it’s hard for me to fathom them ever doing something right at this point. Good luck with that electrification push. Assuming they can pull their heads out of their asses

Sure, they are designed to haul stuff, though their primary job is to tow.

Hilariously, even the row of Hemi Chargers at the Roanoke Airport rental car center had those silly yellow things still on them. Hertz and National managed to line up their 5-6 Chargers next to each other where their areas adjoined. Annoyingly, they “upgraded” me to a 4Runner - I would have much preferred a Charger.
