That’s basically what a platform is, though...the unibody structure, drivetrain, suspension bits, etc. It has nothing to do with the body or interior.

I was referring to the Fusion. You’re right, the Taurus isn’t CD4.
Try opening that Element rear door without opening the front door first.
I don’t even give a shit if it has a platform cousin in the Fusion. This is a Lincoln I actually want. Actually, if I could get even more outlandishness with the Continental, that would even be better.
Having driven the non-suicide-door Black Label edition I can say in complete confidence the ride is plenty cushy enough even with the 20"s. That suspension is magical.
Isn’t the Expedition/Navigator much more its own platform vs Tahoe/Escalade? I mean, the Navi has fully independent suspension all the way around; quite the departure from an F150, unlike an Escalade vs a Silverado.
I’ve been in one of these, and while its really cool, I think it is priced a bit high for what it is.
I dig it. My prediction: Lincoln will be making a lot of more of these than anticipated. And who know... maybe it will even fund a proper RWD replacement.
Honda has this on about most of their vehicles, most definitely the Accord. The drivers outside lock can fully open or fully close the windows. The key fob can fully open all the windows but not close them.
Actually it was spearheaded by Mercedes to keep people from grey-market importing their cars. You could save up to $10,000 by importing a car direct from Europe instead of through Mercedes USA due to the value of the dollar vs other currencies at the time.
Maybe he’s trying to crush them, but is really, really patient!
Or the Pizza deliverers version - the C-Max! They’re cheaper due to no one knowing what they are, but share drivetrains.
Back when i worked for a Ford dealership, I loved getting the Transits Connects in. They are a blast to drive. They were built on the old Gen 2 Focus platform so they had great handling and were peppy and fun. Slow car fast and all that.
“COME ON NED MOVE THIS THING!
I answered you somewhere else, but:
If there are any dumb people here, they’re:
Is that so? Well, nevertheless, they removed the key blade from the original fob and then gave it back to owners with a standalone key. Also, since you wanted to go there:
I’m with you on that one.
The Dirty South is where its at! The 4BT is a heavy beast but if you can source the parts for a reasonable price and it cuts down your work then that’s the way to go!
“. . . Hyundai’s lengthy warranty.”
