Peter, you’ve done an excellent and amazing job on that car. It looks fantastic, and I’m sure it drives even better.

Well, maybe it has to do with Elons showboating and arrogance, rather than the car itself. ;) ;) ;)

So, if they are twisting this in the worst way, then what is the explanation of having a 7 seat sedan go around a race track? Better weight distribution?

And I guarantee that your work friend still believes exactly as he did before you poked a hole in the balloon.

“There’s no shortage of automakers doing shady shit all the time.”

I really like it. The thing about a car is, it’s better than a girlfriend/boyfriend, as you can share your lovely with your friends without it getting weird or anyone feeling guilty*.

The SS was never intended to be a volume seller. It sold well considering that it was hardly marketed (aside from its appearance in NASCAR), was pretty expensive for the brand, and was only produced to fill contractual obligations.

I live 50 miles from the gulf coast, and it doesnt make sense to me. (Yes, I have a utility vehicle, and yes, it has axles going to all 4 wheels.)

And then attempting to fix it with random items found in a scrap metal yard, coupled with an 8 ball of meth.

Okay, totally off topic here, but do all the seniors reading this article know that they can get some amazing deals on leftover crossovers formerly only seen as concept vehicles? I mean, this is very important and I just dont know why we as a people aren’t talking about it. I know that I personally cant wait until

Yeah, and he says nothing as it is happening. Not an “oh shit!” or “WTF?”, nothing.

I voted CP because I assume, by the result of omission, that its 2wd. 2wd + SUV = a van with worse fuel mileage. At least with 4wd, it wouldnt be useless in the snow on a trip up north, or with different wheels/tires, in moderate off-road situations.

Oh! Well, if that’s the case, never mind. Never crossed my mind that it could be.

And somehow Toyota is known for its panel gaps? Looks like the Grand Canyon from here.

Dare I say, it looks a bit 1930s. Not a great era for VW to reference.

I find it to be a pretty handsome little car. Better looking than the (admittedly much-improved) Leaf, and infinantly better than the rolling bar of soap known as the Model 3.

Or *want* a third row. Like it or not, a Highlander, Explorer, Pilot and Traverse scream family truckster, while this, the Edge and Blazer do not. At least, not as loudly.

Listing it as a manual when it’s not is worse, IMO. I have a search algorithm I use to find manual cars in major ccities within a day or so’s travel from me. Youd be surprised at how many manual Buick Lesabres (or my favorite, a “LeSable”), Nissan Armadas and Ford Crown Vics there are out there!

Hell, I was reading an ad for a 1993 F-250 Diesel the other day, and I swear I’m not making this up:

Who rents a car for two solid months? I’m sure people do, but that just sounds crazy to me. You have a valid point, though.
