Ridiculous. No modern Altima would make it to that mileage without having service records totaling several times its value. Hell, my friend’s Altimas (yes, plural) barely made it to 80k on their original wheel bearings, struts, and CVT. The car might look and drive like it has 300k, but that’s pretty typical.

Well, the Honda dealership wanted thousands to fix my Element, and I fixed it with a piece of plastic and cardboard.

Yeah, I’ll take an SE-i coupe with a stick over this.

I’d buy one, stick an old-school Mercedes diesel (from a 240D) and a manual transmission in it. Slow but reliable and economical.

The new one isnt half bad looking.

    If you insist! 😄

Damn. I just paid $2.07 this morning.

So, are you asking us if you bought the car?

A Mark VIII LSC is on my wish list, as is this, but let’s not kid ourselves, the Lincoln is far more likely lol.

Always have loved these cars since I first heard about them and researched them. Would love to own one. I'm a sucker for a big sexy coupe, and this has so much more than your average PLC.

I am of the opinion that doing a proper fluid/filter change wont hurt anything. I’ve had a lot of high-mileage vehicles and have never experienced a failure as a result of the procedure. Not only the Taurus I have now, but several other Ford products. My dad and I changed the fluid and filter in his 1999 F-250 with

I might do that, it would give the car a cleaner and more modern appearance.

Kudos to benlama1.

Be sure to have the fluid *and filter* changed on your son’s Bull.

The used Rolls, Land Cruisers etc are pretty ridiculous.

Could be the same idiot who said “you can’t put a Civic spare on an Accord? Hold my beer.” (Yes, this came with my recently-purchased 1996 Accord, and no, I’m not going to use it.)

I went off about this in another thread a few days ago. My next “Grinds my Gears” rant is when you’re stopped, waiting for cross traffic so that you can pull out, and there is this one car approaching with nobody behind him. You think he’s slowing to turn (so you can go), but you’re not sure enough to pull out.

That’s definitely a good reason, and a better reason still if you live outside of the state and are looking for a project.

Kids can be weird. But, at least he’s there learning and enjoying the experience with you! Makes me want a kid.
