As someone who makes the right-turn-on-red onto a 55MPH hwy on which people routinely drive 70, as Jose described, a 10 sec 0-60 is unacceptable. As we’ve been seeing, the electrification of cars is reducing avg 0-60 times. Even 8 sec 0-60 is getting uncompetitive. Personally, I don’t want to be the one holding up a

It’s not a matter of it being fast rather than fast enough. Not every car needs to toss you into the back seat when you hit the gas, but it does need to be able to get up to speed in a reasonable amount of time when doing things like merging onto an interstate.

Never ending construction

Thank CAFE for vehicle like this not being available here. Emissions are calculated as a function of the vehicle footprint - the bigger the footprint the lower the needed MPG target for the model. It’s easier to make a 20% bigger car that gets 10% worse mileage because it’s better for the fleet average. Let’s hope

When Uber/Lyft first started, they had to overpay drivers to keep them on the road, lest they wouldn’t be able to attract passengers. So they were paying something like $2+ per mile, and in some cases even paying drivers $20/hour to just be available. So it was a viable full-time job back then, but now it’s just sad.

Okay, okay. How about it’s a “sucker” shortage?

Bingo. Ask someone to watch a 13-minute advertisement, and they’ll be smashing the “skip ad” button before you can finish the question (it is a brave man who browses the internet in 2021 without a decent adblocker); but make someone think that it’s something that they’re not supposed to see, and they’ll actively seek

So the takeaway is Tesla’s autopilot is about as good as a bunch of the worst drivers out there. Really scraping the barrel for excuses.

sure, but autopilot accounts for how many vehicles on the road?

If only.  My favorite thing to tell trumpers who refuse to get the vaccine I tell them Ashley Babbitt took the shot and no more covid worries.

It’s not. Flag and report those comments

Some of the comments remind me of 1980's living rooms with plastic couch covers and plastic runners so nothing gets worn out and keeps its value. We did not play at those kids’ houses.

I need to get my car detailed. I looked in the backseat the other day and legit found a cobweb. My car is not taking well to its demotion from daily driver to weekend errand transport.

Same thing with snow skiing.

Does the insurance claim change if your Corvette hits a Mustang that’s already in the ditch?

My favorite as a kid was rolling up next to a nice car, signalling to the driver to roll down their window, then loudly exclaiming, “PARDON ME SIR, DO YOU HAVE ANY GREY POUPON?!?!?!”

Obesity is the easiest way to avoid kidnapping. NOBODY kidnaps fat people. It is entirely too much work.

Ignoring the tossers for a second...

I just want to come out in support of Genesis. If these had been around when I was purchasing my Q7, I would have pulled the trigger in a heartbeat. I loved my G80. It never had a problem, and it was a perfect freeway machine.
