I do agree with your sentiment, but the value of the scientific knowledge gained with a few feet of rope in these experiments isn’t even a drop in the bucket next to the thousands and thousands of feet left in the ocean from fishing and other activities.

or my favorite:

you see the story above where dude got drunk at home and never drove, went down from his apartment to get something out of his car and passed out, cop acknowledged that he wasn’t driving and yet appeals all the way to the state supreme court wouldn’t overturn conviction? you want that guy to lose his car too?

I completely agree that we need to ramp up efforts to prevent drunk driving.  I completely DISagree that more checkpoints is the answer - checkpoints are already super iffy so far as constitutional rights go, we definitely don’t need to be telling the police we want more of them.

Was he kidnapped only for that film, or did he just die in North Korea?

I imagine there’s no way to be 100% certain you’re vacuuming up every single microscopic fragment produced from drilling out a screw. And we’re not even talking about what the drill’s brushless motor would introduce to the equation. I’m sure they’re several steps of clean past typical civilian thinking here.

“I don’t know why people act like it’s a relatively new phenomenon”

i’m mesmerized watching the windshield wiper on the crash in gif at the top of the article

were the old tests done at higher speeds, or are the new crumple zones responsible for absorbing the energy that’s bouncing these old cars all over the place?   the cars seems to stay put better in newer tests.

The only part that surprised me is that it’s in Poland. I thought we in the US had the lock on capitalist nonsense like this.   After all, we have the EU to thank for apple finally going standard with USB as of iphone15.

now that the GOP’s desire to control people is currently focused on abortion, maybe we can yank the rug out from the failed “war on drugs” for good? Biden getting the DEA to re-evaluate the schedule of THC is a fantastic start.

Does this cammer EVER mow his grass?

underrated comment.

ah, ok.  the way the article reads (have your car towed, not drive it to the mechanic) I was thinking there was a pressing issue to not drive a car without a CC - like it would damage the car or something.

Was already illegal for the suspect to have possession of a gun, maybe we need to pass another law making it double illegal for him to have the gun?”

the past paragraph: “you can technically drive a car without a catalytic converter, if one gets stolen from you or someone you know, you really shouldn’t
