yeah, I caught it at home from my kid, despite dodging it for two years at work and in public. so goes pandemic life I guess!

One small but important ergonomic gripe (for left-sided driving vehicles e.g. USA): Volume controls belong ON THE LEFT of the steering wheel. Objectively. My right hand can already reach the center console to adjust the volume. Steering wheel volume goes on the left for the left hand.
I have to agree with you on all counts, jpblaze. Indeed I can’t skip a week with the reel mower, and the lawn does not look as perfectly manicured when I’m done as it would with a gas mower - but those are concessions I’m ok with.
1. extra shirt
2. deodorant
3. book or magazine
4. sleep mask
5. noise-canceling headphones
For those that want to keep their lawn (for home value or other reasons) - do consider a reel mower. They’re great exercise and don’t use a drop of gasoline or electric energy! It’s an entirely different experience when you don’t have to put on protective equipment and can offer a friendly hello in a normal volume…
I had no idea Hanks was in it. The does indeed shoot that theory, eh? Now I’m curious... I wonder if they couldn’t reach a salary agreement with Allen?
It’s because Allen is the voice of the toy - Evans is the voice of the person the toy is based off of. What toy is exactly the same as the real life thing it’s modeled after? ...not to mention it’s a great excuse to refresh a character that’s already starred in 4 movies.
I especially like the manual demonstration (as opposed to a cgi graphic that would be used today) - even unintentional movements help the viewer understand how the pieces interact with each other.
I don’t know much about racing (other than apparently “rubbin” is a part of it) but I’m relieved to see a driver admit “lapses of judgement” instead of trying to blame others/the car/whatever. I’m a little bit sad to be so happy about simple honesty, but I guess that’s where we are in 2022.
I already carry around guilt for enjoying the spectacle that was “The Apprentice” because I feel I contributed, however minimally, to orange’s rise to power. For the same reason, I’m not going to watch morb on twitch or anywhere else that could even possibly advance Leto’s career. The sooner he goes away the better…
anyone that skiplags with checked baggage deserves the inevitable consequences. surely a sign of a malfunctioning prefrontal cortex.
I know you’ve got your fill of tesla flaming, so I’ll tread lightly - but as I’m in the market myself I got into the weeds comparing Tesla 3 vs Polestar 2, and I have to say: speed is not a priority for me. I easily favor the Polestar for the better ride (not to mention integrated google maps and eco friendly…
yep. despite how they may act, they are NOT your friend.
Polestar 2 is in the center of my radar right now. The only thing that doesn’t sit right with me is the abysmal waste of space that is the center console. Everything else is spot on for me: the google infotainment, “hatch”back design, eco friendly materials, sporty yet comfortable ride. And I don’t care one bit about…
LET US NOT FORGET: When responsible companies were taking their licks as covid tore across the US in early 2020, GameStop declared themselves an “essential business” and kept its doors open. For that reason alone I will do everything in my power to avoid giving them another cent of my money.
exactly. that stolen item costs something, and multiplied by the number of other employees that feel entitled to steal, it’s that much less money for everything else, including salaries.
if the problem is the other drivers around (and I agree FWIW) then why do they choose to be in major metropolitan areas during rush hour? seems to me if I had a long haul to make I’d time myself to not be on 290 in Chicago at 5pm. And yet there’s SO MANY. I’d love to understand this (and I know that some don’t…
I couldn’t agree more, James DeRiven - I’d love to give each and every one of those people that think they can tell the diff a blinded test and see how they do.
agree 100% Harmon20 - I wonder how many times I said the exact phrase “No, it’s my phone, not your personal entertainment device” when my kids were almost but not quite of the age to have their own.
yeah but at least with the cooling effect of releasing the pressure, the a/c would be free!
