I had a Mission Critical baby carrier (in tan color). I do not think anyone questioned its manliness and I had few guys ask me where I bough it. Plus Molle webbing was useful so I could attach a pouch for a bottle and another with a diaper change pack.

As soon as I saw your headline I thought of my first car. A rusted out ‘72 MGB GT, with a hydraulic clutch that would sometimes just quit. I was literally just telling somebody this morning about it, and how I would shut the engine off anytime I needed to stop, put it in first gear and when I needed to go just hit the

As the owner/caretaker of a 1971 MGB GT (and prior to that, a 250,000-mile NA Miata), I agree wholeheartedly.

I wouldn’t say it was equivalent to American usage of ‘fag’ because my understanding is that fag is a hideous insult (rather than a cigarette) whereas bugger isn’t. We do know it originally meant homosexual- it’s why big sideburns are called bugger’s grips.

I’d argue that enough time has passed to wash out the discriminatory origins of the word.

imo you can say it all you want, the ‘origin’ really doesn’t seem racist, the origin of the term AND how it was used later was focused on the ‘heretic’ part - to describe people who did things that were unacceptable, I haven’t seen any mention of it ever being used as a racial epithet or in a racial way.

As

that’s my perception as well. i find the ‘racist origins’ claim about this term a little tenuous.

Tone is this: Happy because Trump supported lost a lot of money.

The tone of the article is that we’re supposed to root for this woman because the victim is a Trump supporter, ie, it might as well have been his fault, and he was asking for it, why did he even have this woman in his home, etc.

Yes, if manufacturers made them go away, it would be FAR better for both manufacturers AND customers.... because math works.

Wait, are you under the impression that if we went to direct from manufacturer sales and removed a whole thick layer of middlemen from the process, the price would go up? Are you high?

Oh there it is, the guy defending the dealer, because this one dealer he worked at was totally on the up and up and that is most dealers. Even though the most talked about story from a professional is that “Call for Price” is a shit sales tactic.

I hate that. I shouldn’t have to CALL to talk to the INTERNET specialist...

She already lost because she has to have it today. You CAN’T tell them that.

I mean, in this case it certainly is the most likely explanation...there’s no way in hell that anyone could possibly think this was an effective way to skirt regulation, it would be found out right away...as it has been. And anyone involved in the auto industry would know this.

Dude I think most Asian companies are familiar with the concept of a VIN.

That’s what I am thinking. Since the first digits of a VIN generally related to make/model/manufacturing location/trim level and the last few digits are the sequential serial, I would wager that someone working in the registration database incorrectly copied the serial number portion.

Knowing what a clusterfuck of paperwork and confusion it can be sending components and stuff between countries for development/testing purposes, it’s also entirely possible that the evidence they discovered is just an electronic record or piece of paper that someone lazily or incorrectly filled out. Granted, when it
