Don’t listen to the other self righteous jerk. People can change and grow to be better. Your perspective is helpful to this conversation.

I’m OK with being called an idiot. I was an idiot. I’m also nearly 11 years sober, which doesn’t invalidate my misdeeds but at least shows that I did, in fact, address my alcoholism.

Honesty appreciated.

I am, to my shame, a 2-time loser. And as such, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that no system exists outside of full automation that can keep drunks from driving while also not screwing over normal, rational drivers at the same time.

In SF recently, a large housing complex was voted down since the location it was going to be built would displace a Nordstrom’s valet parking lot.

Two oily bald men that lost their appeal a decade ago are not what attracts me to these movies.

just as ive grown older, prison just seems like a system that needs serious reform

I genuinely dont know what the best course of action here is.

Yeah the hidden weapons are cool, but how cool would it be to have deployable tire studs like on the Die Another Day Aston?

She needs das boot where the Sun don’t shine.

I am really wishing the oil slick feature on British cars was less real.

Bullet proof seems like the most practical. Where I drive and work is very high crime area. I almost went with invisible but I struggle with people NOT seeing me in my car and nearly hitting me very often and I drive a traffic cone colored jeep JKU.

The main advantage in slick conditions is that it indirectly shortens your braking distance. When you’ve got more traction for acceleration, you don’t have to maintain as much momentum so you can go slower.

That’s nothing. Back in the old days, when you only had three NTSC broadcast channels to watch, you could get sludge so bad where the only clearances were from the moving parts knocking the sludge out of the way by the crank counterweights and rocker arms

Honestly I totally prefer automakers going wild, gauche, tacky, overdone, crass, or cheesy to boring.

When you realize that Dodge is fully committed to the conversion of the ICE performance model into an electrified doppelganger of itself, then this all makes sense.  As to the vulgarity?  I’m definitely a fan.  So sue me.

I’ll excuse your comment because I assume these types of things aren’t happening in your neighborhood by “It’s a package from amazon, they’ll send you another one.”

If it’s from a third party Amazon seller they will bear the loss.

I learned on heavy, old things (197-something Chevy dump truck, among other things), then made an ugly transition to sometimes driving an early-90s Accord or a Tacoma.

How so? I know people who have been in ketosis for more than a decade and they are extremely healthy. I do cyclical keto myself but the research studies suggest that there is no issue with long term keto.
