This is the apex of anti-progressivism: let’s drag people for making progress.

It's ridiculous to expect school to teach us everything about everything. Everyone has gaps in their education and knowledge. Kudos to her for realising she didn't know enough about a topic and reading up about it
“If we held politicians to the same standard as we do celebrities...think about that...HOT TAKE!”
Yep, this.
Not even really her 20's, bush took office when she was 14 and left when she was 22.
She’s right, you know. I’m twenty years older than she, and I’m still discovering stuff that I was not taught properly in school. And remember that Britain was basically our only ally for Gulf War II, the Bush Family Boogaloo.
Given how many grown adults in the US were completely obtuse to Bush then and remain so now, I’m inclined to give the famous actress from a different country a break.
So now we’re shitting on people for reaching the right conclusion but not being super aware of world events in their 20's. Just wanna be clear on this. That’s our new bar. You suck if you didn’t know about stuff in your 20's that you should have.
Less than half of the Republicans believe he asked Ukraine to investigate Biden even though he’s admitted to doing so.
Or maybe the Republicans fighting tooth and nail to allow him to get away with everything he wants to do has given him an astonishingly overinflated sense of invulnerability?
I mean, right now, if you told me that I could guarantee Mitch loses reelection but I’d have to get herpes to do it, I would have to think about it for a minute. And I’d have some clarifying questions.
I wouldn’t put it past him. Finally give something on a platter so clear-cut there’s no choice but to toss him. He gets to still play the victim, the party gets to say “well, there was nothing we could do faced with the evidence,” and it all finishes up like a ridiculously scripted pro-wrestling storyline.
Maybe, instead of faking a heart attack, Trump really wants to be impeached? That way he can keep his grievance score at 100%, and hope to parlay that into enough money when he’s thrown out to keep him out of jail on all of those state charges?
No it isn’t. The logic is clear: if it’s good for me, I don’t care if it is bad for you.
While saying things like, “it’s a dog eat dog world” and “it’s not personal, it’s just good business” to justify their shitty behavior.
That end point being how to personally increase wealth/power - screw everyone/ the nation/the world to get there.
The cognitive dissonance needed to be a GOP stooge is staggering.
this week makes it even more obvious that trump is barely capable of thinking more than a word or two ahead when he speaks/tweets.
Seriously. It’s like:
So they did the things the whistleblower accused them of doing but the whistleblower was totally inaccurate and not even a whistleblower! Wow, that’s a lot of hot air he’s blowing today.
