I buy men’s t-shirts because they actually fit me okay in the shoulders and upper arms and I don’t care if they’re baggy around the waist. Cap sleeves never, ever, ever worked for me, even when I was at my best weight and fitness wise.

I agree with your comments and I think people need to get away from the “he had to see patients” part of the story. Like you say, there are always backup plans to cover patients who absolutely need it in an emergency situation. I think what happened to him was horrible. I’m also sympathetic to the fact that he is a

That was adorable! Though, honestly, if she hadn’t reacted that way, I might not have really noticed that she wasn’t paying attention.

But PTSD can make you misinterpret and panic/react badly to what is currently happening because you are actually mentally and emotionally and even in a way physically reliving and reacting to prior trauma.

This was my first thought, I’m surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned by anyone else. Yes, he’s ‘overreacting,’ but to me it looked like a PTSD reaction by someone who had experienced or witnessed some serious police/government brutality someplace where being dragged off and killed was a real possibility.

Micro certainly wasn’t his best book, but I didn’t think it was any worse than Timeline - I basically enjoyed both of them for what they were.

Agree with Golem100, I’m pretty sure that was Hellstrom’s Hive by Frank Herbert. I went through a phase in high school where I read all of his non-Dune books, and they were all a bit...off.

They’ve had a few “plus” size models go through. You know...size 12 or so, perfectly proportioned, no cellulite, of course.

That’s pretty much where I am. I don’t have a problem with it, and I’ve learned to manage what I can and can’t handle very well, and how to prepare when I can’t avoid things that I know will stress me. It’s just when there are expectations of more social type activities than I can handle and trying to explain to

Twice I’ve gotten kittens when I already had an older cat (both times the older cat was around 11), and they adjusted fine, but never became great friends. They would play/fight and occasionally cuddle, but both times I kind of felt like the older cat was mostly just annoyed by the younger ones, and maybe annoyed that

For me the most important sleep aid is sticking to a schedule, getting used to going to sleep and getting up at the same time every day, though I’m not really good at sticking to that. Other helps are regular exercise, cutting back on caffeine, and not eating too much at night/not eating foods that increase heartburn

Questions for those who found out or started suspecting you were on the autistic spectrum/neurodivergent as adults: Does getting an official diagnosis really help any, outside of maybe helping direct therapy? And how much have you tried to tell other people, friends and coworkers and stuff?

I agree, that daytime public library scene was messed up, that’s supposed to be a safe public place. Probably affected me more because when I was a kid the town library was my haven away from home

“The harness and leash are embarrassing enough. You are NOT putting me in a helmet. Besides, it would mess up my floof.”

I had a Honda Accord, manual transmission, that was going strong at 250,000 miles, and I don’t think I threw a lot of money at it. I did follow the maintenance schedule, did the timing belt twice (I think at 90,000 and 180,000), had to replace the battery a few times and the alternator once, but never did major

Yes. I feel the same way. And someone else here is commenting on how important that scene was and how they shouldn’t have left it out of the TV version. So gross.

Bill needs to stutter. Your disappointment is the right response.

I always saw the head wrap as more of a wanting to look nice without having to spend any time on your hair thing.
