I think there are two possibilities.
I think there are two possibilities.
I mean, this whole series is essentially the movie “Defending Your Life”, so
I thought about this, but then I thought, she could save a copy of everything. There’s already so much TV (and movies), with bonus rewatching and podcasts and webisodes, that should last at least a billion years.
Because Mike Schur.
I’m months late, but I wanted to say, for the record, I think that scene with Eleanor spontaneously kissing Chidi is from the same reboot where they had their love scene in The Neutral Place. Is there any evidence in favor or against it? Because finally getting to see them actually fall in love is something I didn’t…
This. Or, show the Soji stuff but don’t make it clear where they are. We can see that they are Borg but we don’t realize that they are ON a Borg cube.
Agreed that it was sensationalistic, cliche, formulaic, boring, drab, ugh.
Yes, that’s the kind of show I thought this was, from the first episode or two. Lots of character, less adventure. It makes a nice companion piece to the “fireworks factory” shows that coexist in the ST universe.
They had no lines in the pilot; I was hoping.
What the review really doesn’t spend enough time on is that the show just isn’t that great. It’s slow paced and then very briefly well paced and then slow again; it oscillates between “no dude this is real it’s real it’s so REAL” and grindhouse in a way that made me uncomfortable, it’s got few if any engaging…
That was the only thing that made me chuckle at all this ep. This was a B- C+ ep at best, phoning everything in and surprising me not at all once. But! I did love Thankquet!
And her hit “No, No, No! (No Means Yes)”
App. It ends with him yelling “Aaaaapp!”
I respectfully say, I think he changed - just not in as profound a way - I would say on a scale from 1 to 10, he started the series as an empathic humility 2, and wound up as an empathic humility 5 or 6. The way he talked to Diane on the phone sealed that. He was so carefree and self-absorbed, and he has learned to…
thank you I actually didn’t get that until now and I appreciate.
Also FTR this was from the same producers’ spinoff show, turning their own manic pixie idea upside down:
Agree it was mostly Mentos, but I think they were influenced by Mentos Tyler Moore.
Yes - I write this having not watched the end yet - it’s easy to imagine PC would yank it away, saying nobody wants it, just to give Diane the fuel to write it Despite Obstacles.
Hey you and the 11 people you starred in with! If you don’t already know about “Beyond Belief” from The Thrilling Adventure Hour, go binge it anywhere you can find it; that’s basically what that is.
