No, it was definitely like this:  Nicky tells Red in a totally fakey mcfake phone call that she’s going to go down for 70 years if she doesn’t throw her under the Bus of Justice.  Red thinks, Red says “it’s OK”.  Nicky then (off camera) signs the thing and next thing we know, Nicky is in gen pop with a lot of guilt.
