His weakest album BY FAR. A huge step back from the brilliance of "Yeezus". A few cool tracks (there's a good EP in here) but very disappointing from Kanye. I love all of his other albums, and Yeezus was his best since College Dropout.
Great read. I love these movies but wow is Freddy's Dead just unwatchably awful. I saw Dream Master once a long time ago and didn't like the comic tone shift, yet I enjoyed the Dream Child over numerous "edited for broadcast" viewings - go figure. Dream Warriors and New Nightmare are great, with the former defining…
Brilliance. LOOOOOOOOVED this movie as a kid so much and I still do. This is childhood incarnate. I genuinely feel sorry for kids who didn't like this movie. Not having any imagination must suck. Luthgow is still hilarious and the guy who played Santa is PERFECT.
Whatever - Thru the Eyes of Ruby is an incredible track, and I'm not even a huge Pumpkins fan. One of the best tracks along with Muzzle, Zero, and the best song, 1979.
Might be an entertaining movie but I'm not a fan of the "let's brutally punish a man for being a sexual being in a not 100% defensible way" subgenre.
Sisters is one of my all time faves. So underrated.
Made a note of Mark Vago's name, and to never take anything he says about movies seriously - Paul Thomas Anderson is a god!!!!
When I realized that Jack White was quoting Citizen Kane in "The Union Forever".
MIA - Paper Planes. It kept coming on a mix at a job I was working and I was like wow, what IS this? Then someone used Shazam to find out for me, which I had never seen done before, and that blew my mind even further. Went home and downloaded Kala. She's still an all-time fave, and turned me on to a bunch of other…
Bjork - Vulnicura. Faith No More - Sol Invictus. End of list.
I definitely agree with The Master as #1. I also would absolutely include 12 Years a Slave, The Social Network, Black Swan, and Zero Dark Thirty in my Top 5. As far as Top 20 goes, don't sleep on Martha Marcy May Marlene and Spring Breakers.
YES!! Oz is genius!!!!
I laughed when I saw the headline but I have to say, Falling in Love…, Pink, and Taste of India are all really catchy tracks.
WHITE BEAR!!!! Yes, yes yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVED LOVED LOVED this movie as a kid so much!!! I can still watch it and know exactly why I did. It is a Christmas CLASSIC!!!!!
Also, I'm in my early 30s and have loved EDM in various formats since the early 2000s, but especially over the last 6 years. Dubstep is still great. Maybe high school kids will grow out of it but they probably were just trying to be like their older brothers anyway.
Definitely a nostalgia album for me but Jimi Thing is still a great song. Crash probably holds up better overall as an album.
The Aliens Q&A would be right up my alley but the bad recording for that episode makes it almost unlistenable. Go for the James Cameron one from a few months ago.
