I agree with that statement. I posted the ADL text because the article (in my own opinion) is worded in a way that calls Pepe a blatant hate symbol while citing a source that says it isn't so black and white.

From the ADL site linked in this article:
"it is important to examine use of the meme only in context. The mere fact of posting a Pepe meme does not mean that someone is racist or white supremacist."
