That shot of Kirby with tears streaming down his face may be the shot of the season for me. Kinda question the director's decision to not have that be the actual final shot we see. Just pure gut wrench.

I definitely had meow meow beans in the back of my head during this and agree this episode went for similar insights, but c'mon why isn't their any mention of the technical aspects of the production? Joe Wright directed the hell out of this thing. Every single shot looks like an instagram post that someone laboured…

Tropic Thunder?

Perhaps its just a matter of how well the film worked for you individually, but I find it very difficult to agree that the only sense of revulsion comes from the Commandant. Yes, Fukunaga is clearly approaching this in a heavily stylized way, but that didn't make the brutality of the imagery any less effective.

Which episode would be the worst then? I've always thought this one got something of a bad rap, but struggle to think of a worse episode.
