The current 9th planet business is 5 to 6 years old at this point. I read this and thought “Why the f is this guy writing about this now?”
You should just leave this sort of stuff to the science writer pros. Expertise means something.

Your sentence “during some video taken of Pfeifer and his firefighters out on the street assessing a gas leak” references the film “9/11" which aired without commercials on CBS in 2002. Jules and Gédéon Naudet were the French filmmakers who shot that footage. The video camera used to capture the first plane’s crash

The movie came out July 9th. Everybody ages 12-and-up vaccinations began early-April thru May 1st nationally. Why would a vaccinated person worry about COVID in a movie theater in July? Unless of course you weren’t vaccinated, then you deserve what you get, no matter the movie you watched.

I can’t wait for this to hit home video so I can make a Bourne trailer from it.

Me, my wife, and my 2 kids saw it in the theater opening weekend.
Then when I got home I pirated it.
Did I do that right?

As virtually all television was episodic before shows could be recorded”
Hate to do this, but: “Whaa?”
Since the beginning single-camera TV shows were shot on film, and had a cut negative like motion picture films do. For example, “The Lone Ranger” ran ‘49-’57, all on film. Even most 3-camera sitcoms were shot and

You forgot “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.

Per Wikipedia:

I was all stoked Max von Sydow was going to be in The Force Awakens. ~sigh~

Has anybody mentioned that Morrissey has two S’s?

One thing folks forget about Avengers is it’s shot with a 1.85:1 aspect ratio. On a widescreen tv that fills the full 16:9 image so it literally looks like a TV show. Whedon chose it because he wanted wider lenses and screen height for the third act. Now, years later, the flat lighting and pedestrian framing make it

I like Casino Royale but I always giggle during the poker scene insert shots where René explains to Vesper what’s going on or how much the bet was for. It screams pick-up shoot 3 months after wrap because they discovered in editing the card game was confusing.

My boys, 7 & 11, turn it on as their go-to MCU flick. It took me a while to figure out why. It’s very episodic, handing out action on a pretty regular schedule. The exposition dumps are fine too because they’ve already seen the movie and know where things lead. Plus it introduces so much to the MCU they get all the

Yes, this. Perlmutter single-handedly blocked Captain Marvel.
Also, in retrospect, I’m not sure where a BW movie would’ve fit in Phase 3.

Side note: If us slobs in the comment section know about Perlmutter and there are multiple film & business news articles about Perlmutter, then why does a writer for the AVClub (who

There’s a Secret Invasion show with Nick Fury coming.

Kingsley’s Mandarin was kidnapped from prison by the 10 Rings in the 2014 Marvel One-Shot short “All Hail The King”. Entirely possible.

AV Club should hire you as a context contributor”.

The irony is by dying Cranston was the only one with a character-arc.

A restored “Let It Be” is supposed to be in the Blu-ray release of Get Back.

When my 11yo and 7yo decide to watch a random MCU movie they always pick Age of Ultron. All I can figure is it’s very episodic, and since they’ve seen the all the movies they see how it set everything up for Phase 2 and 3. They both get all the endless references. That, and action scenes every 15 minutes.
