When my ex said that she was sleeping with a guy who admitted to cheating on his wife 14 times, I called his wife to let her know, and she filed for divorce shortly thereafter. It was a hard conversation, but I felt good about it. She deserved to know what kind of an asshole she was married to.

A noble effort...but the bottom line is that if they don’t let it burn in a controlled way now, it will be MUCH worse later.

I would argue that nature combines function and beauty in it’s highest form. Nature wasn’t engineered for us to use, and so isn’t very functional for us, but it is superbly engineered and adapted for it’s own needs. The Grand Canyon doesn’t exist for us to look at. It exists to drain the Colorado River system into the

Frank Gehry is to architecture, as Guy Fieri is to food. Fieris is famous because he’s “outrageous” and on TV; not because his food is exceptional. Gehry is famous because his architecture is “outrageous”; not because the engineering is exceptional.

A solution looking for a problem.

If Microsoft scrapped WMP and “innovated” a new MP3 manager, it would be iTunes. Bloated, slow, complicated, not doing anything well...

A four-game suspension seems like incredibly easy punishment for cheating in an NFL DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, so I don’t understand what all the fuss is about. If the NFL has proof that Brady cheated - or proof that Brady went out of his way to make sure that they didn’t get evidence of cheating - then they should

That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

There is no evidence that they are dangerous; as there was none for Thalidomide, asbestos, glyphosate or nicotine when they were first introduced. Show me the scientific evidence that proves they are safe. You cannot, because none exists. What you can show are studies that found no dangers - as with the compounds

No. Purely scientific. We can’t even count how many times in history an established scientific consensus changed after discovering that a concept once thought to be meaningless is the key to the new understanding. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. We have thousands of years of experience with naturally

Well, it won’t be quiet for long now that the entire Internet has the lat/long. Thanks.

Are those shit stains running downm the middle of that thing? ;-)

You guessed wrong.

Is the author a shill for the pro-GMO lobby, and who funded this study? The idea that a “study” found that no one paid attention to GMO labeling is absurd in the extreme. That’s like saying that neighbors who lobbied to get a “Slow Down” sign installed near a school are all going to ignore it. C’mon.

Technically, yes...for now at least. The law is still trying to catch up with these new issues. You may have no LEGAL recourse, but you have several that are legally questionable...just don’t get caught.

One attorney’s opinion does not equal precedence or settled law, so while the NTSB - not a court - may have ruled that in certain cases a drone must be treated as an aircraft, that does not mean that shooting at your neighbors drone equates to shooting a 747 full of people.

What’s with the earth-shattering, mind-bending hyperbolic headlines on Gizmodo?

Right...no other smart-phone maker does that. ;-)

... or the time I walked in with a two-week old iPhone on which the screen inexplicably cracked overnight while sitting on a coffee table. The ONLY possible explanation I could offer was that my 12 pound cat might have stepped on it. And the jerkoff wanted to see my receipt before handing me a brand new one, and
