Neutral: If Ford Doesn’t Want To Make Electric Cars, What Should It Make?

“If you were going to dress for a 90s party, think about what you’d wear.”

Ubiquity. There’s so damn many Mustangs out there that the omnipresent chaos of the hooniverse is more readily apparent in them.

The house I grew up in had a severe sugar ant infestation. My parents started noticing ants inside their car, and figured they had gotten stuck in there accidentally.

#seewhatididthere - The “waka waka” of the 21st century.

Because it didn’t cost enough to fix them when they broke. The dealership would much rather replace a few hundred worth of LEDs instead of pocket change worth of incandescents.

I don’t understand why people are up in arms about an “up to” 200 pound feature. The Miata is lightweight to be sure, but that’s still a less than ten percent increase.

Torch, you are everything right with Kinja.

RE: rear-engine / front-drive - I’ve been looking for an example for years when I noticed them lacking. There’s plenty of blatantly obvious drawbacks, but I can think of one possible advantage: it leaves plenty of space in the front for an axle assembly that’s steerable and powered, and still puts the transmission

You’d hard pressed to find an old 4x4 this sturdy, or a sturdy beast this cheap. Add in decently maintained condition, virtually new set of excellent tires, and a whole other chassis you can negotiate our or sell at your leisure, and this is a great buy at less than nine grand.

I feel like the “traditional auto makers are going to be left behind by the tech industry” is a story financial reporters keep repeating because they want it to be true. They’ve seen in play out that way enough times that everyone wants to be the guy who called it when GM or somebody goes out of business, and they

God help me but
